Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement (RPO L26/3.8L)
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the steering gear heat shield. Refer to Steering Gear Heat Shield Replacement (See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering
Gear/Service and Repair)
3. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
4. Remove the power steering hose retainer (2) from the engine frame at gear.
5. Remove the power steering pressure hose from the power steering gear.
6. Remove the power steering pressure hose banjo bolt (1) and remove the 2 washers (2).
7. Remove the power steering pressure hose (3) from the vehicle.
