Sunroof / Moonroof Module: Service and Repair

SUNROOF CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Lower the rear of the headliner to gain access to the sunroof control module. Refer to Headliner Replacement (Without Sunroof) Headliner

Replacement (With Sunroof) in Interior Trim.

2. Depress the tab (3) on the side of the sunroof control module (2).
3. With the tab (3) on the side depressed, slide the sunroof control module towards the sunroof motor/actuator in order to release the control module

from the sunroof module assembly.

4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
5. Remove the sunroof control module from the sunroof module assembly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Connect the electrical connectors (1) to the sunroof control module (2).
2. Insert the sunroof control module tabs (2) into the sunroof module assembly slots (3).
3. Slide the sunroof control module away from the sunroof motor/actuator until the control module is fully engaged to the module assembly slots.
4. Install the headliner.

IMPORTANT:  Test for proper operation of the sunroof before installing the headliner.
