Heater Core: Service and Repair
Manual and Electronic Control (RPO C61, C67)
HEATER CORE (RPO C61 or C67)
Heater Hoses
TOOL REQUIRED
J 37097 Mubea Hose Clamp Pliers (or equivalent)
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Drain cooling system.
2. Heater hoses from heater core, using J 37097.
3. Air mix valve actuator. See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Air Door/Air Door Actuator / Motor/Service and Repair
4. Retaining screws and heater core cover.
5. Retaining screws and heater core from vehicle.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Heater core into vehicle and attaching screws.
Tighten
^
Screws to 1.4 Nm (12 lb in).
2. Heater core cover and attaching screws.
Tighten
^
Screws to 1.4 Nm (12 lb in).
3. Air mix valve actuator. See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Air Door/Air Door Actuator / Motor/Service and Repair
4. Heater hoses to heater core using tool J 37097. (or equivalent)
5. Fill cooling system.
