Wiper Switch: Service and Repair
1.
Disarm airbag as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ACTIVATION Failure to do so may result in accidental
deployment of airbag, possibly causing personal injury.
2.
Remove steering wheel as outlined under STEERING SUSPENSION CHASSIS AND BODY COMPONENTS/STEERING/COMPONENT
REPLACEMENT REPAIR PROCEDURES/STEERING WHEEL.
3.
Remove access cover from steering column housing.
4.
Disconnect electrical connectors, pull lever straight out of switch.
5.
Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. After all work has been completed, rearm airbag as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ACTIVATION.
