Exhaust Camshaft and Valve Lifter Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the camshaft position exhaust actuator. Refer to Camshaft Position Exhaust Actuator Replacement   (See: Camshaft Position Exhaust

Actuator Replacement).

Note:  Remove each bolt on each cap one turn at a time until there is no spring tension pushing on the camshaft.

2. Mark the camshaft bearing caps to ensure they are installed in the same position. 
3. Remove the camshaft bearing cap bolts and cap.

4. Remove the exhaust camshaft.
