DOOR GLASS DISENGAGEMENT

MODELS AFFECTED: 1988 REGALS

Comments have been received of door glass assemblies disengaging from channels on 1988 Regals. The following procedure should be followed if this
condition occurs:

1.

Remove the window assembly from the door and inspect (proceed to Step 2 if glass/guides are functional). If the glass guides have become
debonded from the glass or substantial pin guide damage is evident, the glass assembly must be replaced with the following parts.

Remove the door glass run channel and front run channel retainer. Replace the run channel with the following parts (See Figure 1).

Care must be taken to prevent distortion of the glass run channel during installation. Should any distortion occur, the retaining function of the channel
may be decreased and if that is the case, the run channel should be replaced.
