Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

HEADLAMP SWITCH

Headlamp Switch (Typical)

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Cluster trim plate by unsnapping from instrument panel.
2. Headlamp switch by unsnapping from instrument panel.
3. Electrical connector.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Electrical connector.
2. Headlamp switch by snapping into instrument panel.
3. Cluster trim plate by snapping into instrument panel.

IMPORTANT:  After replacing a headlamp switch due to an external short, cycle the headlamp switch and the interior light dimmer switch on
and off twice to activate the internal circuit protection feature of the switch. All interior lights will not operate if the headlamp switch has not been
cycled.
