Front Door Interior Handle: Service and Repair

Door Handle Replacement - Front Inside

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Rendezvous)  (See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair)

.

2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door  (See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair) .

3. Remove the center of the rivets using a center punch.

4. Drill out the rivet from the front inside door handle using a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) drill bit.

5. Remove the front inside door handle from the front door inner panel.
6. Remove the lock rod and door handle rod from the front inside door handle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the front inside door handle by inserting the tabs into the rear door inner panel slots.
2. Install the lock rod and the door handle rod to the front inside door handle.
