Picture Circuit
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
This chart is used if the only problem is the picture rolling. When using the J34914 tester here, we are only interested in noting if the picture rolls with
the tester connected.
TEST DESCRIPTION: Numbers below refer to circled numbers on diagnostic chart.
1.
Connecting the tester to the CRT only will verify the integrity of the CRT.
2.
Connecting the tester to the harness at the CRTC will verify the integrity of the vertical and horizontal sync circuits. If the picture does not roll, the
CRTC connectors or CRTC are at fault.
3.
Noting which way the picture rolls will determine which circuit is at fault. The horizontal sync circuit problem will appear as a snowy picture and
the picture roll will be more difficult to see.
