Riviera V6-3.8L SC VIN 1 (1995)
INSTALL OR CONNECT
IMPORTANT: Before installing the new actuator, the lock assembly must be in the full open position and the teeth on the lock switch (part of the
actuator) must be pushed fully toward the actuator arm to prevent damage to the lock switch when the mechanism is operated.
1. Release lock assembly to be sure it is in the full open position.

Push up on the outside lock rod lever.

Pull on the inside lock handle lever.
2. Place actuator on lock mechanism.

Position the plastic teeth of the lock switch fully toward the actuator arm.
3. Arm and bumper into locking lever and align lock switch teeth to gear toothed fork bolt so that screw holes are aligned.
INSPECT

Check that the actuating arm rubber bumper is on the actuating arm.
4. Two torx® screws.
5. Operate locking mechanism by pushing inward on the fork bolt until it clicks into a fully closed position.
6. Electrical connector.
7. Lock assembly.
INSPECT

Check that lock carrier is properly mounted and retained.
8. Trim panel and water deflector. Refer to "Trim Panel" and "Water Deflector".
