Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair
Fuel Pressure Regulator
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Relieve fuel pressure.

Refer to Service and Repair. See: Service and Repair
2. Clean dirt from regulator retaining ring.
3. Vacuum hose from regulator.
4. Snap ring.
5. Using a shop towel to catch any spilled fuel, lift and twist fuel pressure regulator to remove. Cover fuel pressure regulator housing to prevent
contamination from entering fuel system.
CAUTION:
-
Compressed air must never be used to test or clean a pressure regulator.

If needed, The filter screen should be cleaned with gasoline.

The pressure regulator should not be immersed in solvent.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New O-rings on fuel pressure regulator, if new regulator is being installed. Lubricate O-rings lightly with clean engine oil.
2. Fuel pressure regulator into housing.
3. Snap ring.
4. Vacuum hose to fuel pressure regulator.
