Electronic Brake Control Module: Description and Operation
DESCRIPTION
The EBCM is a small control computer. The EBCM monitors the speed of each wheel as well as several other functions internal to the BPM
(brake pressure modulator) valve. On models equipped with traction control, this device is an Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module (
EBTCM). The EBTCM/EBCM's main functions are to detect wheel locking or wheel slip tendencies, control the brake system while in anti-lock
mode or traction control mode and monitor the system for proper operation.
