The front and rear side door trim is serviced the same way. Use the following procedure for both. Replace the spring clip (GM P/N 10221260)
whenever the switch mount plate is removed from the door trim.

Tool Required: J 24595-C Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

1. Battery negative cable.
2. Bezel bolt/screw.
3. Bezel (7 or 211).
4. Electrical connectors from bezel (7 or 211).
5. Switch mount plate (6 or 160) or switch panel (3). 

A. Insert screwdriver under forward edge of switch (6 or 160) to disengage spring clip.
B. Slide forward and up to remove.
C. Insert screwdriver in outward slots to disengage tabs and remove switch panel (3) (Chevrolet).

6.  Side door window switch floodlamp, if equipped.

^ Twist 90 degrees to remove.

7.  Loosen setscrew (257) connecting knob (183) from switch mount plate.
8.  Knob (183), if equipped.
9.  Outside rearview mirror knob (183) to bezel (211), if equipped.

10.  Side door ashtray, if equipped. 
11.  Side door window regulator handle, if equipped.
12.  Electrical connectors from switch (6 or 160).
13.  Pull handle bolts/screws.
14.  Side door armrest, if necessary. 
15.  Side door map pocket bolt/screw (248), located in lower edge of door in carpeted area.
16.  Courtesy lamp connector from body crosscar wiring harness.
17.  Trim (l, 2) using J 38778.
18.  Electrical connectors from side door courtesy lamp.
