1.  Replace any damaged retainers on trim pad (1).
2.  Pull electrical connectors through their respective cutouts in trim.
3.  Side door courtesy lamp electrical connectors.
4.  Trim, using a clean, rubber mallet to seat retainers (1).
5.  Side door map pocket bolt/screw (248), located in lower edge of door in carpeted area (Buick)

Tighten: ^ Side door map pocket bolt/screw (248) or side door trim finish panel bolt/screw (249) to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in.).

6.  Side door armrest.
7.  Pull handle bolts/screws.

Tighten ^ Pull handle bolts/screws to 6 N.m (53 lb. in.).

8. Switch electrial connectors.
9. Knob (183).

10. Tighten setscrew (257) connecting knob (183) to bezel (211).
11. Side door window floodlamp, if equipped.

^ Twist 90 degrees to secure.

12. Snap bezel (7 or 211) into trim (1 or 5).
13. Bolt/screw (8) to 3.25 N.m (30 lb.in.).

Tighten ^ Bolt/screw (8) to 1.5 N.m (13 lb. in.).

14. New spring clip to switch mount plate (6 or 160).

^ Slide clip into groove on bezel until fully seated.

15. Side door ashtray, if equipped.
16. Side door window regulator handle, if equipped.
17. Electrical connectors to switch mount plate (6 or 160) or switch panel (3).
18. Switch mount plate (6 or 160) or switch panel (3).

^ Snap in to secure.

19. Battery negative cable.
