Intake Manifold: Service and Repair
Pushrod Engine
1987-88
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Remove TBI cover, then drain engine coolant.
3.
Disconnect vacuum lines and electrical connectors, as required.
4.
Disconnect fuel lines, then the TBI linkage.
5.
Remove TBI assembly.
6.
Remove power steering pump and position aside.
7.
Raise and support vehicle.
8.
Remove accelerator and TV cables and bracket.
9.
Remove hose at bottom of intake manifold, then lower vehicle.
10.
Remove intake manifold attaching nuts and bolts, then the intake manifold.
11.
Reverse procedure to install.
