MODELS AFFECTED: 1987 SKYHAWKS WITH THE LT2 2.0L OHC L-4 ENGINE (VIN CODE K) AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
NOTICE:
This bulletin adds information concerning the conditions under which "stall on gear engagement" may occur and replaces Dealer Service
Bulletin 87-6E-13, which should be discarded.
Some 1987 Skyhawks equipped with LT2 2.0L OHC engines and automatic transmissions, may exhibit hot hesitation or stall (cold or hot) on gear
engagement.
If customer comments are received that cannot be resolved using published diagnostic procedures and service information, a new service PROM, Part
Number 16077165, is available from GMSPO.
Use applicable Labor Operation Number.
