Brake Master Cylinder: Service and Repair
Master Cylinder Overhaul
CAUTION: Observe the following:

Install all new components included in repair kit used to service this master cylinder.

Lubricate parts with clean brake fluid to ease assembly.
^
Do NOT use lubicated compressed air on brake parts. Damage to rubber components will result.
^
If any hydraulic component is removed or disconne ted, it will be necessary to bleed all or part of the hydraulic system.
^
The tightening specifications are for dry, unlubricated fasteners.
^
Perform service operations on a clean bench, free of mineral oil and petroleum products.
NOTE: Master cylinder reservoir cover and reservoir diaphragm can be inspected and/or serviced without removing the master cylinder from the
vehicle.
