Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair
1. Remove inner splash shield.
2. Using torsional dampener remover tool No. J-24420, or equivalent, remove crankshaft balancer.
3. Using suitable tool, pry out seal, being careful not to damage crankshaft.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Lubricate new seal with clean engine oil and insert in front cover with lip facing engine.
a. Use front cover alignment and oil seal installer tool No. J-35468, or equivalent, to drive seal into place.
