Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair
1. Remove steering wheel as outlined under Steering Wheel. Refer to Steering and Suspension.
2. Place shifter lever in Park position, then the ignition key in Off-Lock position and remove key.
3. Disconnect wire connector from interlock solenoid assembly.
4. Remove interlock solenoid mounting screws, then the interlock solenoid assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Torque mounting screws to 21 inch lbs.
