Contact Plate Replacement - Sliding Door

Tools Required

J 38778  Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the sliding door water deflector. Refer toWater Deflector Replacement - Sliding Door   (See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Sliding

Door/Sliding Door Interior Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Water Deflector Replacement - Sliding Door) .

2. Using theJ 38778   , remove the sliding door jamb contact plate push-in retainers.
3. Disconnect the sliding door jamb contact plate electrical connector.
4. Remove the sliding door jamb contact plate from the lower door.

Installation Procedure

1. Connect the sliding door jamb contact plate electrical connector.
2. Position the sliding door jamb contact plate to the lower door.
3. Install the sliding door jamb contact plate push-in retainers.
4. Install the sliding door water deflector. Refer toWater Deflector Replacement - Sliding Door   (See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Sliding
