Air Bag Control Module: Locations
SIR Identification Views
1. Right Front End Sensor - Located on the front of the vehicle in the engine compartment.
2. Vehicle Battery - Located under the hood on the right hand side.
3. Front Hood Assist Rod - A gas shock located under the front hood on the passenger side.
4. I/P Air Bag - Located at the top right under the instrument panel.
5. Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) - Located underneath the passenger front seat.
6. Passenger Presences System (PPS) - Located on the passenger front seat underneath the seat bottom trim.
7. RF Side Impact Air Bag - Located on the seat back of the passenger front seat.
8. Right Seat Belt Retractor Prestensioner and Right Side Impact Sensor (SIS) - The right SIS is located above the right seat belt retractor
pretensioner under the center pillar trim near the bottom on the passenger side of vehicle.
9. Rear Compartment Lid Assist Rod - A gas shock is located under the rear trunk lid on the passenger side.
10. Rear Compartment Lid Assist Rod - A gas shock is located under the rear trunk lid on the driver side.
11. Left Seat Retractor Prestensioner and Left Side Impact Sensor (SIS) - The left SIS is located above the left seat belt retractor pretensioner under
the center pillar trim near the bottom on driver side of vehicle.
12. LF Side Impact Air Bag - Located on the seat back of the driver from seat.
13. Steering Wheel Air bag - Located on the steering wheel.
14. Front Hood Assist Rod - A gas shock located under the front hood on the driver side.
15. Left Front End Sensor - Located on the front of the vehicle in the engine compartment.
