Removal Procedure
Important: Water deflectors seal the inner panel. Water deflectors prevent water from entering into the body. A strip of adhesive between the
deflector and the door secures the deflector.
1. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to Rear Side Door Garnish Molding Replacement (See: Rear Side Door Garnish Molding Replacement).
2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Sliding Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (See: Sliding Door/Sliding Door Interior Trim Panel/Service
and Repair/Sliding Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement).
3. Peel the water deflector (1) away from the door.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the water deflector (1).
Important: Ensure that the water deflector is properly attached to the door in order to help prevent the intrusion of exhaust gases.
2. Install the trim panel. Refer to Sliding Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (See: Sliding Door/Sliding Door Interior Trim Panel/Service and
Repair/Sliding Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement).
3. Install the garnish molding. Refer to Rear Side Door Garnish Molding Replacement (See: Rear Side Door Garnish Molding Replacement).
