Oil Filter Adapter: Service and Repair
Oil Filter Adapter Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Position a suitable container to catch the engine oil.
3. Remove the oil filter.
4. Disconnect the engine oil cooler pipes from the oil filter adapter.
5. Remove the oil filter adapter.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the oil filter adapter with a NEW gasket.
2. Install the engine oil cooler pipes to the oil filter adapter.
3. Install the oil filter.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Operate the vehicle and check for leaks.
6. Check the oil level and add as required.
