Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information/Battery
Disconnect Caution).
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the spoiler. Refer to Rear Spoiler Replacement (Notchback) (See: Body and Frame/Spoilers, Flaps, and Air Dams/Spoiler/Service and
Repair/Rear Spoiler Replacement (Notchback))Rear Spoiler Replacement (Hatchback) (See: Body and Frame/Spoilers, Flaps, and Air

3. Remove the screws and the spoiler CHMSL.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
