Owner Letter
(Notification Used By Chevrolet Motor Division)
April 19, 1990
Dear Chevrolet Owner:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
REASON FOR THIS RECALL
General Motors has determined that the owner's manuals in certain 1990 Chevrolet Corsica and Beretta model vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor
Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies". The owner's manuals for these vehicles were printed with the rear center lap belt
information omitted. This information is required by FMVSS No. 209.
WHAT WE HAVE DONE
In order to comply with FMVSS No. 209, and to minimize your inconvenience, Chevrolet Motor Division has sent the enclosed supplement for you to
insert in your owner's manual.
