Intake Manifold: Testing and Inspection
1. Remove the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor from the intake manifold.
2. Remove the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor from the intake manifold.
3. Clean the old pieces of gasket from the gasket surfaces.
4. Clean the soot deposits from the intake manifold.
5. Inspect the manifold for the following conditions:

Cracks
-
Broken flanges
-
Gasket surface damage
