C 1500 Truck 2WD V8-5.3L VIN Z Flex Fuel (2002)
1. Lubricate a NEW O-ring seal with transmission fluid.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the VSS and bolt.

Tighten the VSS bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
3. If equipped with the 8.1 L engine, connect the VSS electrical connector (5).
4. If equipped with the 6.6L engine, connect the VSS electrical connector (4).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Check the transmission fluid level. Add if necessary.
