Tailgate Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

Lock Cylinder Replacement - End Gate (Avalanche)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the endgate handle bezel.

2. Release the tabs (2) retaining the cylinder to the bezel with a flat bladed tool.
3. Remove the lock cylinder (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the lock cylinder into the cylinder sleeve (3). Ensure that the cylinder is fully seated into the retaining tabs (2).
2. Install handle bezel to the endgate. Line up the lock cylinder arm (4) with the opening in the handle.
