1988 CHEVROLET K10 TRUCKS WITH OFF-ROAD CHASSIS PACKAGE (RPO Z71)
TO:
ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS
General Motors has determined that some 1988 Chevrolet K10 Trucks equipped with Off-Road Bilstein Front Shock Absorbers (RPO Z71) may have an
incorrect valve in the shock absorbers.
During off-road driving, the incorrect valving causes increased loading into the shock valve which may result in premature valve wear.
To prevent the possibility of this condition occurring it will be necessary to replace the front shock absorbers on all involved vehicles.
