Removing The Accumulator

1. Place piston compressor tool No. J 26889, or equivalent, over end of accumulator and install nuts on stud.
2. Depress accumulator with a C-clamp.
3. Accumulator retainer ring (43).
4. Release C-clamp.
5. Nuts from stud.
6. Piston compressor tool.
7. Accumulator (44) and 0-ring seal.

Install or Connect

NOTE:  Lubricate all seals and metal friction points with power steering fluid.

1. Accumulator (44) and 0-ring seal.
2. Place piston compressor tool over end of accumulator and install nuts on stud.
3. Depress accumulator with a C-clamp.
4. Accumulator retainer ring (43).
5. Release C-clamp.
6. Remove nuts from stud. 
7. Remove piston compressor tool.
