Crankshaft: Service and Repair
Reluctor Ring, Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable assembly from the battery negative terminal.
2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct.
3. Remove the engine cooling fan. Refer to Cooling System.
4. Remove the water pump. Refer to Cooling System.
5. Remove the front cover.
6. Remove the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring.
2. Install the front cover.
3. Install the water pump. Refer to Cooling System.
4. Install the engine cooling fan. Refer to Cooling System.
5. Install the air-cleaner intake duct. Refer to Powertrain Management.
6. Connect the battery negative cable assembly to the battery negative terminal.

Tighten the bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
