Air Bag Deactivation Switch: Service and Repair
On regular cab (03 models) and extended cab (53 models) an enable switch is provided to enable the passenger side air bag when no rear facing child
seat is being used. In the "OFF" mode, the passenger side air bag will not deploy. This feature is intended to reduce the risk of injury to infants in rear
facing child seats. The switch is located in the lower opening of the vertical switch trim plate.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Instrument panel trim bezel.
2. Switch from lower opening of switch plate panel.
3. Electrical connector.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Electrical connector.
2. Switch into lower opening of switch plate panel.
3. Instrument panel trim bezel.
