DISASSEMBLE 

-

Retaining clip from the rear band apply pin and

Inspect

1. Rear accumulator piston and rear servo piston for:

-

Porosity or damage.

-

Ring groove for damage.

2. Seals for:

-

Nicks or cuts.

3. Cover for:

-

Porosity or damage.

-

Scored or damaged.

4. Springs for:

-

Distortion.

5. Pin for:

-

Wear.

6. Servo bore for:

-

Wear or scoring.

Clean

-

All components.

ASSEMBLE

1. Rear servo spring retainer, rear servo spring, and the servo washer on rear band apply pin.
2. Rear servo piston seal and the rear servo piston and press onto the rear band apply pin.
3. Retaining ring.
4. Lube the seals, inner and outer before installing the accumulator piston seals on the accumulator piston.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Rear accumulator spring in the case bore.
2. New gasket, cover, and six bolts.

-

Tighten bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
