Automatic Transmission Dipstick - Dipstick Tube: Service and Repair
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Air cleaner.
2. Oil level indicator.
3. Bolt and nut securing the oil level indicator tube bracket and ground wire to the transmission.

Raise and secure the vehicle.
4. Oil level indicator tube and seal from the transmission.

Pull oil level indicator tube up from the transmission.
5. Seal from the oil level indicator tube.
Clean
-
Metal parts using solvent. Do not allow solvent to enter the transmission. Air dry.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New oil level indicator tube seal into the transmission case.
2. Oil level indicator tube into the seal.
3. Bolt and nut securing the oil level indicator tube bracket and ground wire to the transmission.

Tighten bolt and nut securing the oil level indicator tube bracket to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

Lower the vehicle.
4. Air cleaner.
5. Oil level indicator.
