Transmission Control Module Replacement
Removal Procedure

In order to prevent internal TCM damage, the ignition must be OFF when disconnecting or reconnecting power to the TCM - for example, when
working with a battery cable, TCM pigtail, TCM fuse, or jumper cables.

Remove any debris from the TCM connector surfaces before servicing the TCM. Inspect the TCM module connector gaskets when diagnosing or
replacing the TCM. Ensure that the gaskets are installed correctly. The gaskets prevent contaminant intrusion into the TM
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the bolts (1) from the transmission control module cover located on the left side of the radiator shroud.
3. Pull the cover and module assembly up and away from the radiator shroud.
4. Push up on the retainers (1) to remove the control module from the cover.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors (2) and remove the transmission control module from the vehicle.
