9. Remove the engine rear cover bolts (denoted by a black circle).

10. Remove the nuts retaining the coolant duct to the engine flywheel housing.
11. Remove the bolts retaining the coolant duct to the oil filter adapter and oil cooler assembly.
12. Separate the flywheel housing from the cylinder block using the J 37228.
13. Remove the engine rear cover.

14. Remove the O-rings from the engine flywheel housing.
15. Clean the sealing surfaces on the engine flywheel housing and the engine block.
16. Clean the engine flywheel housing in clean solvent and air dry.
17. Clean the engine flywheel housing O-ring sealing area.
18. Inspect the engine flywheel housing for cracks.
19. Inspect the crankshaft rear oil seal bore for damage.
20. Replace the engine flywheel housing if any damage is found.
