C 2500 Truck 2WD V8-6.6L DSL Turbo VIN 1 (2001)
Caution: When removing or Installing the flywheel wear protective gloves. The teeth on the ring gear may be very sharp and may cut you.
3. Install the flywheel assembly.
Important: Use NEW bolts to install the flywheel.
4. Loosely install the NEW flywheel bolts.
5. Install the J 44643 in order to hold the flywheel from rotating.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
6. Use the following steps and the proper sequence to tighten the bolts:
6.1.
Tighten the flywheel bolts to 78 Nm (58 ft. lbs.).
6.2.
Tighten the flywheel bolts to 60 degrees using the J 36660-A.
6.3.
Tighten the flywheel bolts again to 60 degrees using the J 36660-A.
