2. Install the gasket on the engine block.
Important: Clean the bore and apply a small amount of clean engine oil before installing the oil pump drive gear. Do not force the oil pump drive
gear into place. The oil pump drive gear should slide into place with slight resistance.
3. Install the oil pump drive gear into the engine block.

Index the drive with the camshaft gear.

Make sure the oil pump drive gear is fully seated before installing the retaining clamp and bolt.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the retaining clamp and bolt to the engine block.
Tighten the bolt to 42 Nm (31 ft. lbs.).
5. Untie the engine wiring harness extension harness assembly and reposition.
6. Install the fuel filter to the lower intake manifold.
