Important: Apply the lubricant that comes with J42845 each time the tool is used. Failure to lubricate the J42845 may prevent the balancer from
installing completely.
3. Using J42845 install the balancer.
4. Tighten the J42845 until the crankshaft balancer is completely seated against the crankshaft sprocket.
5. Remove the J42845 from the crankshaft.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
6. Install the crankshaft washer and bolt.
Tighten the crankshaft balancer bolt to 225 Nm (189 ft. lbs.).
7. Remove the J42847.
8. Install the starter motor.
9. Install the drive belt.
10. Install the fan shroud (lower).
11. Install the fan.
