2. Install a NEW oil pan gasket (2) into the oil pan groove, if required.
3. Install the oil pan (1).

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the oil pan bolts.

4.1.

Tighten the oil bolts in sequence a first pass to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). 

4.2.

Tighten the oil bolts in sequence a final pass to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). 

5. Position the knock sensor harness.
6. Connect the knock sensor electrical connector.

7. Install the transmission oil cooler line bracket bolt.

Tighten the transmission oil cooler line bracket bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). 

8. Position the cable.
9. Install the battery cable ground bolt at the lower front of the engine block.

Tighten the battery cable ground bolt to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
