(VIN CODE F,G,H) OR 5.7L (VIN CODE 8) ENGINE AND AIR CONDITIONING

ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

Some 1985-87 Camaros equipped with 5.0L or 5.7L engines may exhibit a moan or engine vibration when the air conditioning compressor is engaged.
This condition may be improved by the installation of a support brace to the A/C compressor mounting bracket. Refer to the Illustration for installation
procedure.

THE STUD SHOULD BE COATED WITH THREAD SEALANT, P/N 1052080, PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.

Step 1. Drill a 13/32 in. hole in the A/C compressor bracket as shown in the drawing below
