Fuel Pressure Test Port: Service and Repair
Fuel Pressure Connection
NOTE: Clean the area around the fuel pressure connection with GM X-30A or equivalent.
REMOVAL:
1.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2.
Relieve the fuel system pressure, see MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELIEF.
3.
Remove the fuel pressure connection and seal.
INSTALLATION:
1.
Install a new seal on the fuel pressure connection.
2.
Install the fuel pressure connection in the fuel rail and tighten to 13 Nm (115.0 lb.in).
3.
Connect the negative battery cable.
4.
With the engine OFF and the ignition ON, check for fuel leaks.
