Camaro V8-6.2L (2010)
This condition may be caused by a ridge in the fascia material under the paint, on the edge of the fascia. This ridge creates a high spot that can come in
contact with the body sheet metal. This contact may rub through the paint and cause the paint to peel away from the fascia.
Correction 1
Correction - No Paint Damage
The clearance between the rear bumper fascia and the body sheet metal can be adjusted to correct the condition. Use the following steps to replace the
push pin fastener with a J-nut and bolt.
1. Open the rear compartment lid and locate the upper rear fascia retainers (three per side).
2. Remove the inner upper retainer.
3. Install the J-clip on the bracket as shown.
4. Install the bolt but do not tighten it.
