2. Remove the windshield side garnish molding assembly (1) from the clip retainers on the upper side rail.

Note:  Take care not to drop any portion of the retaining clip into the bodyside hinge pillar. This could cause an irreversible rattle condition.

3. Remove the retainer (1) from the bodyside.

1. Slide a small flat-bladed tool on the outboard side to disengage the center retainer (2), maintain pressure on the tab.
2. Slide another small flat-bladed tool on the opposite side of the retainer to depress the outer tabs (3), maintain pressure on the tabs.
3. Rotate the retainer out parallel to the upper reinforcement body hinge pillar.
