Parking Brake Actuator: Service and Repair
Parking Brake Actuator Replacement
Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Brake Dust Warning (See: Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information/Brake Dust Warning).
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the parking brake shoes. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (See: Parking Brake Shoe/Service and Repair).
3. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the actuator.
4. Remove the parking brake actuator (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the parking brake actuator (1).
