Caution: Caution should be taken when trying to remove the power steering oil cooler hoses from the power steering oil cooler. Applying
excessive force or pulling on the port could cause the port to break off and warrant a complete replacement of the assembly.
4. Disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose (1) from the power steering fluid cooler inlet port (3) on the air conditioning condenser. Cap the
power steering fluid cooler inlet port.
5. Remove the 3 bolts from the 3 brackets (4) on the power steering gear outlet hose.
6. Remove the power steering gear outlet hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Cap the power steering gear end of the power steering gear outlet hose.
2. Position the power steering gear outlet hose on the front frame.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
3. Install the 3 bolts to the 3 brackets (4) on the power steering gear outlet hose (1). Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
4. Remove the cap from the power steering fluid cooler inlet port (3). Connect the power steering gear outlet hose to the power steering fluid cooler
