Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement   (See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and

Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Front Door Panel/Service and Repair).

2. Remove the water deflector.
3. Remove the door window switch from the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement   (See: Service and

Repair/Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement).
Reinstall the window switch to the door harness this will allow you to operate the door window. 

4. Locate the outer reveal belt seal (1) and mirror patch (2), mark the window (3) in 3 places for the initial window position before adjustments are

performed. These marks will aid in positioning the window to the desired location during adjustment.

5. Remove the front side door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement   (See: Window Glass/Front Door Window Glass/Service

and Repair).

6. Mark all locations of the bolts/nuts and the window when removing the regulator. To ensure proper alignment when installing the window

regulator later.

1. Rear rail lower nut.
2. Front rail lower nut.
