1.
On models equipped with airbag, disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM
DISARMING.
2.
On all models, disconnect battery ground cable, then raise and support vehicle.
3.
Disconnect cross-over pipe from exhaust manifold.
4.
Lower vehicle, then remove air cleaner, if necessary.
5.
Disconnect spark plug wires and diverter valve, if necessary.
6.
Remove hoses, brackets and pipes as necessary to permit exhaust manifold removal. Tag hoses so they can be installed in the same locations.
7.
Remove exhaust manifold attaching bolts and studs, then remove exhaust manifold and gasket, Fig. 4.
8.
Reverse procedure to install.
9.
Rearm airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
