Fig. 25 Oil Pan Bolt Identification & Locations

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain crankcase and cooling system.
3. Remove flywheel housing cover.
4. Remove right hand front wheel and tire assembly, then remove splash shield.
5. Relieve serpentine drive belt tension.
6. Remove engine mount strut from strut bracket.
7. Remove A/C compressor from bracket and support with refrigerant hoses attached.
8. Remove engine mount strut bracket bolts and position bracket aside.
9. Remove radiator outlet pipe bolts, then detach A/C and radiator outlet pipes from suspension supports.

10. Remove exhaust manifold brace.
11. Remove oil pan to flywheel cover nut and bolt.
12. Remove radiator outlet pipe from lower radiator hose and oil pan.
13. Disconnect oil level sensor electrical connector.
14. Remove oil pan attaching bolts and oil pan.
15. Reverse procedure to install. Refer to Fig. 25 for oil pan bolt identification and tightening specifications.
