Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Relieve fuel system pressure.

Refer to Fuel System / Service and Repair. See: Service and Repair
2. Negative battery cable.
3. Fuel rail assembly from engine.
DISASSEMBLE
1. Pressure regulator attaching screw.
2. Pressure regulator assembly from fuel rail.

Twist back and forth while pulling apart.
INSPECT

If fuel pressure regulator is to be reinstalled, inspect filter screen for contamination. If contaminated remove and discard filter screen.
ASSEMBLE
1. Lubricate new rail to regulator inlet fitting O-ring seal with clean engine oil and install in regulator.
2. Regulator assembly.

Align with retainer and spacer assembly mounting hole.
3. Pressure regulator attaching screw.
NOTE: If there is not enough thread-locking material on the threads of reusable hardware to insure proper locking, apply Loctite 262 to threads.
TIGHTEN
Screw to 11.5 Nm (102 lb. in.)
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Fuel rail assembly.
